The Power of Giving Value
As I have gotten older and wiser, I have noticed that the more you give, the more that you will receive. This may sound cliché but I find it to be truer each and every day. By giving and providing value, we are putting ourselves within a position or aligning one’s self into an abundance of wealth.
There is a quote from the famous speaker Zig Ziglar where he states, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” Now I will not break down his true meaning because everyone will see and hear things differently. But I will give my opinion on what this very inspirational quote means to myself.
You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.
Zig Ziglar
So my opinion of this famous quote is that by giving enough value, providing something enough people will pay for, and becoming a source for consumption, you will in return be able to have everything that you would want for yourself. This could be in the form of payment and/or happiness from helping people achieve their very own goals.
With the way technology and social media plays a part in most of our lives, creating your value can be produced just once. Helping just one person could possibly allow you to help a few other people going through a similar situation. Sort of like a residual benefit from your creation of value.
An example that I could use would be this blog, the podcast, the YouTube channel, the courses, the books… There was not any payment to complete these projects. There was only the sure will to provide value, leave an imprint on the world, and hope that someone may find the information useful. But by creating the resources once and implementing them on the different platforms, it allows me to reach people in the future whom may not be aware of the value right now.
Let’s say I make a post about how great it is to be a programmer or to embark in a career within the field of real estate. A person may or may not find this information valuable if they aren’t intrigued by the subjects. But by chance if they do become so eventually, I may just happened to be one of the resources they utilize to pursue their dreams.
Another scenario, let’s say that you provide great content and value in abundance. You are producing valuable content on your own site, social media, and consulting. Well you may not be compensated for the work that you did do but because of the work that you did, someone may pay you to speak to a group of individual seeking the very information that you are providing.
Now giving does not necessarily always mean for free. The wealthiest people are providing something to the people that they feel they need and are paid for it. The quote can mean that if you provide a product enough people are willing to pay for, then you can become wealthy if that is what you are seeking.
This could also mean feeding into a person’s negative desires as well. Giving something a person may not need, may be what they are looking and searching for. For example providing a means to someone that is addicted to a drug that could be harmful to them. You may have what they are seeking and if you provide enough of it, the same results may apply. Providing a product that enough people are willing to pay for will get you to the position you are seeking.
So to summarize this post and Zig Ziglar’s famous quote: keep providing value, share ideas, give of yourself, and don’t expect anything in return. If it is valuable enough, people would be willing enough to pay you for it. With that being said, I do hope you appreciate our site, learn a great deal, and focus on building yourself for the person that you are to become. Thank you in advance and for your time!
