IF I Visualize it, Then It’s Mine

Have you ever heard the old saying that if you want something as much as you want to breathe, that it will in time become yours?  That is a statement that has come true multiple times in my life.  While I may have not gotten my desires right away, with patience and perseverance, they do ultimately become mine.

Remember when you were a kid and you could day dream about something and it felt so real?  To you, no one could tell you that it would not happen or could not come true?  It is something that is instilled in a most children and allows them to not think of barriers.  To be able to see a dream as something that you can obtain rather than being discouraged by life’s many obstacles.

As a child, I could play with my LEGO Classic Large Set all day long.  I could build different structures for hours and with the few pieces that I had, they almost looked identical.  But the point was that I enjoyed the fact that I was creating, building, and designing something from a vision that I had in my own mind.  I made it real with the snap of a few pieces of legos.  I take that same approach in my life today.  With my vision and the tools I need to build them with, I can make any thought become a reality for myself.

Another experience for me was when I use to play the Monopoly Classic Game.  I thought it was amazing to buy something once and be paid by it over and over again.  It intrigued me to the point that I debated with myself at times if I should spend all my money to buy real estate or save just in case if I get caught in a bad situation.  I soon realized that by being too cautious, you missed out on opportunities.  Because I knew that if another player landed on something that I owned or had control over, that income was coming to me.  So I could focus on other ways to build my wealth.  I transitioned that vision into real life as well.

The point of my post is to point out that our visions are tools that we have to bring out of our mind, to create and build upon, and turn into a reality.  Tools that when sharpened and polished, can allow us to build ourselves out of any situation.  Once we figure this out for ourselves, there is nothing that can stop us from achieving the goals that we lay out for ourselves, family, and friends.
